I always come up against this issue...and that is black&white, or color? Personally I'm a fan of both, and sometimes photos just look better in black & white and other times they look better in color, but what happens when they look best in both. It becomes a issue of what you like best...sooo what do you like best?? :)
It kinda depends on what you want to focus on. Do you want to focus on the way color is working together or the texture and contrast? Do you want viewers to pay attention to the gesture or the item? It's fun to look at the too options and see how the coloration of an image effects the viewers focus or concept.
