Update on the Adventure. :)

Hola Mis Amigos,
Life in the land of eternal spring is going rather well. I arrived in Guatemala City on Saturday evening around 6:00pm with no problems. Thank you for all of your prayers it means a great deal to me. Here is an update on what I will be doing for the next four months. I am serving as an english teacher for the school that Jolo and Jodie are the owners of. Yesterday was my first day of teaching in my classes, and I am teaching in six different classes, two groups of fourth graders, one class of fifth graders, a class of sixth and seventh graders, and a class of high school ages students. :) I am enjoying teaching however it is rather difficult since my ability to speak spanish is what you could call "limited." However most of my students have been very gracious thus far and I have been blessed with a group of students that love and enjoy learning and are able to by past the "small" detail that there teacher doesn't speak their language. Please however be praying for me that I would have wisdom and grace with my high school english students. I am teaching the lower level of english class so most of them don't really care at all about learning to speak english anyway, and because I am pretty much the same age as most of them they don't have a whole lot of respect, which has made it rather challenging for me to teach. My desire while here is to learn more Spanish and have a deeper relationship with the people here beyond "Hi how are you?" and "Good Morning." Please be praying that the Lord would give me supernatural grace to speak and understand spanish. Also in regards to my classes I have one group of fourth grades that you would call hyper active, it has been difficult to keep their attention. Pray that the Lord would increase my heart and passion for the children here and that I would be able to minister and be a blessing to the Jolo and Jodie, the mission, and the school and be effective in teaching English to the students.
Long with teaching I have been also staying after school to help prepare for taking all of the students pictures for the school yearbook. We are in the process of building a homemade studio. Also be praying that I would have grace and wisdom and be able to use my gifts to the fullest while I am here, especially in the area of photography. I will be sure to keep all of you update on how things are going and how life in the land of eternal spring is going. Thank you all, and God Bless.
